OUR STORY
The story of Robins Reunited is a simple one really. In the beginning of the journey, we loved deeply and lost tragically, like many of you. But this really was no ordinary journey, and Coal, our boy, really was no ordinary boy.
Everything with him was just meant to be from the moment we met. After being on a puppy search for a long time, all the stars aligned and he was set to start a life with us here in the heart of Pendle.
My name is Rebecca and my Alaskan Malamute boy was Coal, and from here on in to all our friends, we were known as Coal and Bex.
Throughout Coals life, he had so many adventures, brought me to everyone I now am blessed to call a friend, and had me learn so many life lessons I didn’t even know I needed. But on top of that he had extraordinary qualities. He was so in tune with people, dogs, children and puppies alike. He oozed Respect and real decency. He shone like the diamond boy he always was. He taught me how to love, and was so very loyal to those he loved so dear.
When we brought home new family members Amber, Jade and Rum, he was their best teacher, bringing a fairness to his dealings that I could never compete with. He had a quality unrivalled in teaching manners without harshness, and he really was the most respected in the household.
Coal had an aura about him that had an immediate impact on anyone that met him. That most definitely wasn’t taught, he was born with that quality.
We lost him at 9.5 years old through some health complications. Our world was blown apart. He was our anchor for his whole life steadying our ship through every storm and weathering every life turn we needed to get through. Every dark road he was our light and nothing was ever too much to ask.
It’s very hard to put into words what an impact he had on the world. Many will probably say their dog was the best etc., but gosh I was so lucky. Lucky that he chose me, lucky he was a very rare diamond and ambassador of his breed. Lucky he wanted to be the miracle.
He was so effortlessly remarkable with the most beautiful soul and he was a true gentleman. One you know that if he was human, he would open doors and tip his hat to say good day.
One of those who looks you in the eye and he immediately makes your heart and soul feel safe. You don’t meet many like him.

From that fateful day, Robins seemed to appear daily following us, and mainly at his favourite points on his favourite walks or when he would pop into our heads.
We had a holiday booked to Scotland in the December. That year he was supposed to come with us. Well he most definitely came on it, and he was very present throughout. I wanted to get some jewellery made and I listened to my gut, to send his ashes from Scotland. It was a very strong feeling, so I placed my trust there and sent him on his way.
The experience wasn’t the greatest and in my gut I knew Coal was guiding me and telling me I could do a great job. I listened, and so here we are…Robins Reunited was born.
Robins are most certainly his signature, and it seemed so appropriate and felt so right.

Coal will always be the most handsome, gorgeous boy we ever discovered in our life. He is missed every minute of every day and we continue to try and navigate our unsteady ship without him. But we know he is there allowing this service to flourish.
Sending you the most love Coal, wherever you are. Mum knows best
